Parents/carers must not send children to school too early or leave them uncollected at the end of the school day. If you are delayed for any reason let the school office know immediately. The school gates/doors open at 8.40am and members of school staff will be on the gates/doors.

COLLECTION OF CHILDREN FROM SCHOOL

In order to ensure children’s safety, school have recently reviewed the policy in the collection of children.

Children in Nursery and Reception classes MUST BE COLLECTED BY AN AUTHORISED ADULT.

Children in Years 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 must be collected by an authorised adult/competent person over the age of 16 (unless a different arrangement has been made with school).

Year 6 children may go home unaccompanied for which we will require written permission. Parents will need to arrange for younger brothers and sisters to be collected by an authorised adult. It is important that parents keep school informed about who is collecting children and any changes.

If for any reason you wish your child to leave school during a session, it would be appreciated if you would telephone or send a note as we are unable to release children without a specific request from their parents. In the case of young children, parents are requested to collect them. Please register with the school office when you collect a child, or return a child from appointments during the day. We ask that health appointments are made out of school hours where ever possible.

For children who enter the school via the gate to the Park Hall Estate, would you please use the path around the school buildings, and not across the field and staff car park.

If you bring your child by car, do not park on the ‘No Parking’ zig-zag or single white lines at the school entrance and keep your waiting time to a minimum, to ensure the welfare and safety of the children.
